I don't know what your city is like, but over the past 8 months graffiti is showing up everywhere in Brantford.

Under the Bridge

I like how the curve of the bridge kind of frames this photo. This is under the Lorne Bridge on the foot path.

Four Bridges

I really like this photo as it has all four bridges crossing the Grand River into West Brant. The one way in the background with the school bus on it is called the Veteran's Memorial Road and can also be seen here. There is one with white on it and the one under the curve are former rail lines, and the one in front is the Lorne Bridge.

Cloudy day

This was taking from one of the foot bridges crossing the Grand River. The building in the photo is the Brantford Civic Centre which was built in 1967 and shows it's age. The building is still in use for minor hockey teams and for the schools to take the kids skating.

Sunrise in Niagara Falls

This is what we woke up to on Wednesday morning. This lasted for about 20 minutes and then the snow rolled in. Typical Canadian winter. In case you are wondering, the roar of the falls could be heard on the 36th floor.

Niagara Falls

This was our view from the Embassy Suites on the 36th floor. This is the Canadian Falls called the Horse Shoe. We live about an hour from Niagara Falls and have been going there with our children for the past 4 years for a mini holiday.

And then the water came...

This was the scene yesterday on the Grand River, one week after this photo. A very big difference as with 2 day of rain, 10*C temps that melted 50cm of snow.


This photo was taken at 8:30am on Thursday morning. The sign at the left is a trail sign, look where the sign is in the next photo.

This was two hours later at 10:30am. Notice the trail sign to the left of the photo, and the blue sign is an information sign.
